Jorge Pérez
Jorge Pérez was a Honduran child who moved from La Ceiba to Baltimore with his family in 2050. He was six at the time of the move and was the younger brother of Adelina Pérez, whose need for neurological care prompted the family’s relocation.

Jorge lived with his parents, Camila and Emilio, and his older sister in La Ceiba, Honduras. After Adelina’s seizures went undiagnosed despite consultations with seven neurologists, the family sold its home and car to finance a move to Baltimore. There, Adelina could be evaluated by Logan Weston.
The family moved into the furnished Pérez family residence.
Cultural Identity and Language
Jorge was Honduran. Spanish was his primary language, and he was learning English after the family’s move to Baltimore.
Arrival in Baltimore
On the family’s first evening in Baltimore, Jorge asked Charlie Rivera about ice cream. Charlie answered through his AAC device with a playful response that included emojis, making Jorge laugh.
